For a long time, I felt like a stranger to the English language. Having studied in a Malayalam medium school, English wasn’t just a subject I struggled with—it was a barrier that made me feel inferior. I was the student who felt like an “idiot” in every English-speaking environment, eventually reaching a breaking point where I had to halt my higher studies because my language skills couldn’t keep up.
The real world wasn’t any kinder. Before I landed my first job at a BPO in Bangalore, I failed 59 consecutive interviews.
That experience taught me a hard truth: our education system is churning out thousands of “unwanted graduates”—brilliant minds with degrees who are rendered voiceless because they cannot communicate effectively.
At 23, I stopped making excuses and made a radical decision: I was going to master English, no matter what. It was the single best decision of my life. That choice didn’t just give me a career; it gave me my confidence, my identity, and my future.
After years of working in the fast-paced BPO industry in Bangalore, I realized my true calling wasn’t in corporate operations—it was in revolutionizing how we learn to speak.
On September 10, 2007, I returned to Calicut and started Oxygen English. I didn’t want to build another “grammar school” where people memorized rules they’d never use. I wanted to create a space for Fluency Building Mastery.
